Satinburn & Wilden Farms, Omakau

Two installations for Craig Webster, both Nind Dairy Turnkey conversions with a budget of around $700,000 each.

Satinburn Farm on Muddy Creek Rd, is a 64 bail GEA rotary platform, capable of handling a herd of around 1200.

Wilden Farm across the way on Racecourse Rd. is slightly smaller, a 54 bail GEA rotary shed and can accommodate around 800 cows.

Both operations feature iCR Automatic Cup Remover technology yield meters and iPUD leg dividers. Both installations make full use of glycol snap chillers (AquaChill) and a comprehensive effluent filter, hold and return system mixing about 1% greenwash with bore water to the centre-pivot irrigators.

Project manager, Nigel McClymont says, "It takes about five to six weeks for a complete install. We supplied and commissioned all the plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment and added some of our own proprietory solutions specific to the site."
